Dena Howard, owner of Images By Courtnie Photography, announced that she has moved to a new location.

Her new studio is located in the heart of downtown Murphy, NC above Parker’s Drug Store. The new address is 13 Peachtree Street, and you can get to her studio by going to the pocket park to the right of Parker’s Drug Store and entering through the door at the rear of the building.

She looks forward to serving you at her new location.

Coming up Saturday, October 24, 2009, with time slots ranging from 8am to 8:00pm. This is an exceptional chance to capture your family or child/baby holiday photo with plenty of time to get that Christmas card out!

There are a limited number of slots available and they are filling up fast. Appointments must be booked by Saturday, October 17, 2009 to take advantage of this special.

Today, instead of talking about business or marketing, I’m going to tell you a brief story about a woman I admired a great deal, my Mom.

After fighting against a long illness, Mom died on Friday, November 21, 2008.

I wrote a little about her this morning: In Memory of Mattie Lee Dilbeck.

I’m going to miss her.

I want to thank Dr. Henry Meinecke and Dr. Robert Moreland and their staffs for caring for Mom for the last few years. Your care made it possible for her to spend more time at home and enjoy her independence as long as possible.

Additionally, I want to thank everyone at Murphy Medical Center and their associated nursing home for the excellent care you provided during her last stay and during her earlier rehabilitation and surgeries. Your attention to caring for her made a very difficult part of her life much more bearable and even enjoyable on occasion. You were able to care for Mom after her condition deteriorated to the point where it was impossible for me to care for her at home and I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life.

Thank you, too, to all her friends in the Murphy area who enriched her life and shared her interests.
